GENERAL INFORMATION
Registration form with payment must be received in the NEW ORLEANS USA HOSTS office by NOVEMBER 21, 2003. Any registrations requested after this date will be on a first come first serve, space available basis. Your cancelled check or credit card statement is considered your receipt for the tours. Your tour tickets can be picked up at the Tour Registration Desk in the Registration area during registration hours.
There will be no refunds or ticket exchanges after the registration deadline of NOVEMBER 21, 2003. All pick-ups and drop-offs for the tours will be from the main entrance of the New Orleans Marriott. Please be at the departure point 15 minutes prior to the departure time. We reserve the right to cancel a tour if there are too few registrations. In that event, your money will be refunded in full PRIOR TO the conference.

Visit the National D-Day Museum which opened on June 6, 2000 and is the only museum of its kind in the country. It presents World War II in the form of personal stories and dramatic exhibits. The museum, located in the Warehouse Arts District, also houses two World War II planes, a German Staff Car, a concrete sentry box, weapons, and uniforms. A special World War II demonstration with costumed living history characters will demonstrate the weaponry and techniques used during this time. |

Take a fascinating journey back into the days of the Old South in this unique tour of Louisiana’s Southern country plantations. The first stop is San Francisco Plantation, built in 1840, which exhibits priceless heirlooms. From there the journey will continue up the Mississippi River to the largest remaining plantation home in the South, Nottoway. Tour guides will provide you with enchanting tales of plantation life in the Old South. The tour will be concluded at Randolph Hall on the plantation grounds for a delicious luncheon. |

Learn the techniques, secrets and soul of Cajun and Creole cooking from a local chef. Receive copies of recipes to take home with you after learning the differences in various styles of cooking in Louisiana. Lunch will be served consisting of the food prepared in the demonstration. Typical dishes prepared include such items as: Cajun Gumbo, Creole Jambalaya, Pecan Pralines, Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce, and Iced Tea. |

Catch an unusual glimpse into life on a 19th-century Louisiana plantation along River Road. The first stop offers a remarkable
example of a mid-19th-century Creole Plantation, “Laura.” Unique for her documented Creole heritage, Laura boasts one of the largest plantation complexes on River Road and comes complete with traditional Creole customs and enchanting, sometimes scandalous, tales of Creole plantation life. Continue on upriver to visit Oak Alley Plantation, known for its spectacular backdrop along the Mississippi River. Lunch will be eaten in the restaurant at Oak Alley. |
